În timpul mișcărilor studențești, Corneliu Zelea
Codreanu și ceilalți membri ai comitetului instituit de Congresul
din august 1923 au fost închiși timp de 6 luni la Văcărești (fosta
mănăstire transformată în închisoare), până
la proces, terminat cu achitarea și întoarcerea lor în mare
triumf.
