4. UnitĂŢi taxonomice utilizate în sistematica vegetalĂ Sistematica este acea parte a botanicii care se ocupă cu inventarierea speciilor de plante şi clasificarea lor, pe baza principiilor filogenetice promovate de taxonomie (ştiinţa principiilor clasificării). Unitatea taxonomică de bază utilizată în toate sistemele de clasificare este specia. Taxonii de ordin inferior se numesc subspecifici (ex. subspecia), iar cei de rang superior se numesc supraspecifici (gen, familie, ordin, clasa etc.).
